Short & Sweet: Pumpkin Ice Cream

Recommended by one of our readers, Sara Malik, I decided to check out “Sundaes & Cones” in the East Village. You can tell they’re a legit ice cream place because when you walk in, it smells like waffle cones. I was told to try this place out for the “less than common” flavors that they have. I was not disappointed as the very friendly employees let me try an array of flavors from Lychee, Honeydew, Orange Creamsicle, and much more. Currently, Pumpkin ice cream at Sundaes & Cones is the definite local favorite.  I decided to try it and it was a solid and satisfying ice cream and it tasted even better in a sugar cone (per Sara’s recommendation) and not the cup. It’s that extra bit of crunch that completes this particular flavor, like a makeshift frozen pumpkin pie. It’s nothing fancy or extravagant, but a total feel-good dessert, especially when enjoyed with a friend at one of the window seats.

  I love this place! I have been here at least three times, and last time I tried the Pumpkin flavor which was really good. I have to say though, out of all the crazy flavors (sesame, wasabi, lychee) I have to say my absolute favorite is CORN! Everyone should try it insha’Allah.
